City summary

Sao Paulo ranked alongside New Delhi as the most dangerous of the megacities when it came to women being at risk of sexual violence and harassment. Overall the Brazilian city, with an estimated population of 21.3 million, was seen as the 11th worst overall for women  as it came sixth worst for access to  healthcare including control over reproductive health and maternal mortality. It was third best when respondents were asked if women were at risk of harmful cultural practices such as female genital mutilation and forced marriages.
